Here is some pretty insane video of moments after the plane crashed...before emergency services arrived on the scene. It is taken by a Finn of two Swedes who were the first off the plane (they were seated next to the emergency exit).

| I hope to hell that if I am in a plane crash some people will take the time to help rescue others instead of standing around video taping!!! That was pathetic. It must be taught every man for himself in Europe! |

I know, it was shocking that they had no intention or desire to help the others when there still appeared to be time to do so. Still, reports indicate that a couple of people did help others get out, at least. |

| People who are seated next to emergency exits are suppose to be ones who volunteer to help passengers in the unfortunate advent of such an accident. At least this is what I was told when I boarded a NWA flight bound for the orient. Apparently, these small planes traveling within one country don't have such a protocol. Anyway, I think the people off the plane should have been running as fast and far away from the accident as possible; there is always the possibility of a serious blow up from leaking jet fuel. I've not seen a plane crash but I have seen plenty of car accidents were people have been critically injured and some even died. It's always the same... people like to gaulk, stare and stand around or rubber neck as they go by. Only a small few good samaritans really care to help and for as long as necessary. I've been one and I stayed for many hours at accidents helping the injured and stranded as well as clean up crews. I always ask police this question, "why do people gaulk so much and so few people actually get out and help?!" Police always respond, "people just don't want to get involved." |

Swedes are particuarly insular people, they look after their own kind first. Not good, but that's them I suppose. |
