Woke up this morning and was somewhat surprised to see the new look. I think it looks just fine, but for me personally, the Font size at the subject line is way too small for me to read comfortably. I liked the fact that I could quickly and easily glance down and scroll through the subject lines to find what was of interest to me. I'm hoping that he goes back to the old size of the font. It's much more easy on the eyes, IMHO.

The reminder that there is more to Dave's than just us here is good IM HO. I don't mind scrolling down a tad. How about you?

If I was running the company and some tech guy did this -- he'd be out on his ass.....

Meaning, this is not user friendly at all. Did he just attend some ad guys seminar about building visual recognition/bonding? Nor do I believe it was test driven (was it?). Just imposed. Did Dave ever ask members about what they'd like more or less. run atleast a poll? We provide the content.

I come here for the conversation and Dave's partially fulfills that but this site is really years and years behind. It is like Dave is still wearing his early 70s bellbottoms.

Is there any way in Firefox to disable it?
He looks a bit pie eyed and there's a hint of pedo smile.

Scrolling down is a pain in the ass. Not good the new look. Too much work. We're overworked teachers as it is!!

Very Bad Move. I already have to wear bifocals and the new frozen text sizing isn't helping me avoid headaches from trying to read too small fonts.

Also, it's a given that those of us coming to this site know it's Dave's site. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for us to be reminded of that on every page and every time we post.

If the idea is to lower membership and thus strain on the server, then it's a good move. Otherwise, as I said above, Very Bad Move.

I wouldn't mind a banner on the top in theory. But this one is really.....ugly. It looks like a banner for a cheap website. And if Dave's going to have a huge menu at the top of the page, maybe he should move the placement of the TEFL International ad. It looks a fright to have both of them sitting on top of each other like that.

The font is too small and weird looking. Kind of blurry. Like one of the fonts you might set your cellphone then immediately regret it. The big banner at the top makes me feel like I'm surfing low-class internet sites who over-advertise.

It took me 0.02 seconds to realize that the new format sucked major balls. It has absolutely no redeemable qualities.

Its so bad, it makes me want to kill myself... Shocked
