I'm just wondering if any office in particular is quicker in terms of processing time for an F-2 visa. I had one and left to come back to the US and have decided to return to Korea next month. |

You have to apply at the office that covers the area where you are living and registered as living. If you live in Seoul, you go to the Seoul office (whichever one it is), same is true with Incheon or Busan.

Why don't you apply from your home country? I think they give a short version of the F2 then extend once you arrive...pretty simple process. |

Daejeon immigration office has to be the worst in Korea. I lived in Daejeon 8 years and every time I had to deal with those people it turned into a drama from hell.
I got my F2 in Seoul. It took less than 24 hours. |

What's the difference between an F2 and an F2-1? |

F2 is a visa applied from oversea and you can not work on it just a residence visa. But is converted when you come to Korea to the f-2-1 which allows you to work. |

Thanks for the information Shaunew. I would take it then I applied for my F2-1 since I was already in Korea and working. |
