hey, i am trying to find a bowling alley. I live in kangnam, seoul, and would like it to be close. Does anyone know of one?

Also, are the bowling alleys bowling/drinking or just bowling. If anyone knows of one that includes drinking that would be great!

Thanks for your help!

There are a ton of bowling allies in Seoul. Don't quote me, but I think I seen one near the subway around exit 4. You shouldn't have a problem. A lot of building have a huge bowling pin on the top.

Koreans take bowling really seriously. You will see many sporting bowling gloves and bowling attire. The part is most aren't even that great. Not to say I'm a pro, but I know my limits. As for drinking? Well, bowling is taken really seriously here. I remember going a couple bowling times couldn't find an alley that sells alcohol. So I went down to the GS Mart and picked some beer up for a buddy to suck back while playing a couple games. Nothing was said to us by the staff, but man did the Koreans ever give us some evil stares.

There's one in Lotte World at Jamsil. Couldn't tell you whereabouts inside, just walk around and you'll find it eventually.

I'd just like to say that I'm from white trash Canadia, and I Love, capital "L", bowling. I'm not good at a lot of things, but bowling isn't one of them. I'm no Fred Flinstone, but I hold my own.

Bowling is all over Korea. However, the lanes aren't great. Usually, they're in basements with barely coated over concrete as the lanes. The runs are also short in general. My hands always hurt afterwards because the holes in the balls are so small and sometimes so far apart, that it really does damage. I have big hands (withold comments/compliments) so maybe that's it. But its worth it, especially if you can make friends with the Koreans in the next lane. They're serious about the sport/waste of time, but they're great fun.

I live in Gangnam, but I haven't looked for a place here (it'd probably be ten times as much anyway). Most places will have a giant pin on top of the building. Nobody ever said Korea was subtle.

Bowling! If you can't have fun throwing a giant ball at things that shouldn't be standing there anyway, then you my friend aren't alive.
