Thanks for the admission that the UN is useless.

Are you teaching in Korea? Doesn't that say the UN works?

Sorry, I'd go back and find the relevant quote from yourself, but I'm going to bed now.

No that would say it might have worked at one time.

Okay. I'll remember that the next time you critique my criticism of the Cold War.

I don't see that line of argument working but feel free to give it a shot

The cold war was justified and as time went on the UN became more and more pro Soviet.

and the US contributed the vast majority of soldiers and military force in the Korean war.

At first the UN was nominally useful and then it become more or less useless or even worse than that.

The US model worked at one time. It no longer does.

Damn that was quick and easy.

What are you talking about?

Model for what?

In this thread you are defending or at least excusing the silence of the UN when it comes to Mugabe . You are even saying good stuff about Saddam.

"quick and easy" ???

You are not making sense. Maybe you have been huffing so much that you are showing the effects of not getting enough oxygen .

Saddam was even worse than that scum bag Mugabe.

the two are quite different. I don't think Saddam impoverished his country to the point of it having 1000% inflation and 90% unemployment. Although Mugabe has indeed ethnically cleansed thousands of the rival ethnic group some years ago, he hasn't directly killed as many as Saddam. The effects of his misrule are much the same though- half his people are now refugees.

the US has spoken out and done more than the UN or most of the world.

and the subject was the silence of the anti war movement and the UN.

You seem to be upset that such was mentioned.
