Talking about the 5.18 Kwangju Uprising
Free bilingual event.

Demanding democracy, facing repression.
People creating a spontaneous community of resistance and autonomy?
It happened in Kwangju in 1980; still inspiring people worldwide.

I would be interested in seeing it, but at what time?

I'll probably pass if it's in the evening. Though it doesn't concern foreigners I have a feeling that things may turn foul during the evening for expats. Such a sensitive topic I have a feeling that drunk young Koreans might put a U.S. Army occupation spin on this with nationalistic fervor being stirred up. Why in the world have in that area with all the bad press it's been getting and easy access to bars and alcohol?

I already see poor planning for this event.
