Should this not be in Off Topic or Current Events?
Aside from that, that rag (and it is a rag) has every right to publish what it wants. Why should anyone take it seriously? |

I enjoyed the blurb under the picture - especially the word "thoughtful." |

Should make for an interesting moment in American history. He should also be afforded the same (or greater) level of security that any visiting head of state is provided hen visiting the U.N. Perhhaps the NYPD will ask its Jewish officers to vollunteer to work as security for him as laguardia did for a German diplomat in NYC after Kristallnacht. He should be free to come and go as he pleases but if he does anything innapropriate he should be prepared to face the consequences. |

They should let him in and speak.
The US would do well to build bridges. Knowing your enemy rather than demonising him is the best policy to be taking. Engagement, not alienation. The leaders of the world should talk to eachother much more than they do... |

That's not the New York Times, dimwit. It's a local NYC tabloid. And your link is to the Asia Times.
You wouldn't know the NYT if I smacked you in the face with it.
Open your eyes. |

He probably would've been a good ally in bringing about world peace, but I guess the objective now is kicking off Ragnarok. Or wait, that's heathenistic--the Apocalypse. Sorry, Christians. |

Clearly, only Republicans should be able to exploit Ground Zero as a shameless photo op. Duh. |

did you bang your head at one of those scummy punk clubs recently? You think a guy that denies the holocaust and wants to wipe Israel off the map would have been a "good ally in bringing about world peace"? WTF? I guess you think his views are just a reaction to evil Bush, right? And if not for him he would me Mother Theresa in a bad suit..

Agreed. This guy is essentially the George Bush of the Arab world, he only stays in power by making hyperbolic statements and shamelessly stoking the flames of nationalism. Letting him speak at ground zero would only give him more propaganda to justify his meaningless regime.
Iran did openly express sorrow for the events of 9/11 and I doubt they were even remotely involved in the attack...but I don't think Amaj. is an accurate representation of Iran. |
