I was gonna go to Jeju but decided to hit the Tongyeong area island of Bijindo:

Nightly lows of 24 C, daily highs of 27 C, is perfect for me. Not too hot, not too cool.

There really are some great places on the southern coast of this country.

I went to the states, expectantly due to family medical emergency and arrived in Korea late Tuesday night. It was good to be home for a few days, but killed me in my savings.

Taipei was fantastic, girlfriend and I absolutely loved it. Too bad my parents were stopped at immi and sent immediately back to Korea on the first plane.

Well, to get into Taiwan, you passport can't be within 6 months of expiring, but my parents passports both expired 5 months and 3 weeks later, so they were both put into a secure room and then put onto a plane back to Seoul. Too bad our travel agent and the Asiana people didn't catch that.

Ah that sucks balls.

I love Taiwan - Chinese people with democracy, but alas, opium den-less, still good though. Fun place.

I went to Taiwan, too. Taipei was awesome and so was my room at the Grand Hyatt. King sized bed, a big bathtub, and a view of the 101 building from my widnow. What a place and what a view1 Ate great food of all kinds, from Taiwanese to Mexican. Eevn had a smoothie at Coldstone Creamery. Beats the heck out of Smoothie King. That's one reason I don't save big bucks in Korea. I go places and do things, and treat myself. Got to treat myself soon to some of those nice 600 or higher thread count sheets. Mine are currently 250, and boy vcould I tell the difference last night between my 250s and the Hyatt's sheets.

For the most part Taiwanese people are nice, but some did stare just as badly as Koreans stare. And some Taiwanese guy with huge feet stepped on my foot in line at Coldstone Creamery. I thought I was going to die.
