To the tune of La Marsellaise, and with great gusto!
A French man went to the Lav- atory,
so that he could,
take a sh it
He pulled his pants and his trou- sers down,
so that he could,
revel in it
But there was no toilet paper,
so he lifted up his voice and cried:
ou est le papier?
ou est le papier?
Bonjour,
Monsieur,
J'ai fait
Manure!
Never ceases to amuse my nasty little xenophobic English mind! |

Bloody hilarious! (Apologies to scousers).
English football songs, eh...I always wonder how these things get composed and become so widely circulated among the fans. |

| How much of the crowd gets into it? Are there any youtube videos of some? I'm curious. In baseball they can barely synchronize the tomahawk chop, and in football "Here we go, Steelers, here we go!" is about the longest chant I can think of. |

As a Spurs fan (yes, yes it's true) one of the better ones I've heard in recent memory came from when Spurs beat Chelsea at WHL 2-1 last season.
Tune: Guantanamera
small team from fulham,
you're just a small team from fulham,
small team from fulham
There are so many I can't think of one in particular. |

Gotta be one of my favourites. I thought it was Celtic who sang it though. |

It's an integral part of the game. All the fans get into it. It begins long before the game, in the pubs, on the buses trains and with the fans walking to the grounds, and carries on intermittently all through the game, and after. Binch Lover provided a fairly good link if you want to read about it.
Some of it can be quite witty and cheeky. I was hoping to see quite a few of those, but there's probably not enough posters here from the UK for this thread to take off.
Sometimes it can be quite naughty. Like when the English fans sang the Dambusters theme tune to the Germans (as they stood up with their arms out, miming planes coming to bomb the Germans) at the World Cup.
And sometimes it can get a bit nasty too, like Man Utd fans singing: Posh Spice takes it up the arse.
But mostly it's all good fun. Until your team loses. |

Anything involving the Neville brothers and their dad Neville Neville - because it obviously causes a great deal of pain to Gary Neville.
If David James/Peter Crouch/Phillip Neville can play for England so can I. |
