Screw that... just stick with the F5.

The logical next step will be to make day-long Hangul essay exams mandatory not only for those foreigners applying for F-series visas, but also for those wishing to maintain their current F-visa status. I personally hope this day comes soon, because the sh1tstorm here on Dave's would be such as never seen before. And because I'm a 7th-Degree Black Belt Assmunch. That too.

CentralCali was spot on in regard to the constitution in Korea.
In the US, Canada, Australia, etc, you don't have to be a citizen to have legal rights and protection. In Korea you do!
Someone on an F5 has NO constitutional protection in Korea.
Koreans are really very privelidged. In Korea they are treated with respect, and in our countries, they are treated with respect (legal respect).
We are treated with respect in our countries, but not so in Korea.
To those Koreans out there who say we are anti Korean, this is not the case.
Most here are anti injustice, anti discrimination, this is not being anti Korean.

I for one see the new law as a good thing.

Maybe you can try explaining why. Exactly what is good about it?

Just wondering if you can provide some practical examples of this. Not knocking what you are saying, btw.

Well, either we do as the Romans do, or we don't. You can't argue both sides.

What the h*ll are you talking about. Do you even know what the Constitution of Korea says? One of my best friends in Korea is an American who works as an attorney and teaches law in a major university in Seoul. He will tell you that we have the same constitutional rights as any Korean. The problem is that not all Koreans grant us those rights and it costs more to take their sorry as*es to court to get the laws enforced than it is worth. In short, the problem is individual Koreans who want to be d*cks rather than equal protection under the law. As soon as Korea becomes a country where law and order is the rule rather than the exception we will see a difference, but not until then.
