|
|
Here's a presentation I'm working on for use in the classroom. Next week, I'll post up an interactive link with the names of the characters for each slide.
http://www.esnips.com/doc/345b0528-bc71-4b5f-9639-c32f3f8dd72d/cartoon-quiz---Identify
For now, do you know all these characters?
More importantly, which main ones have I left out. I'll include the important ones I've missed, I'm sure I missed many. Thanks for helping out.

Got 'em all, including Mutley, that sniggling, floppy-eared hound...
But, I must protest in a geek manner: Muppets aren't cartoons. |

I got most of them, but I was stumped by 2 of them. Sesame street characters and Barney are definitely not cartoons. |

Agreed. And what's the deal with all the fruits and vegetables in front of Cookie Monster? Is that some new pc cookie eater I've yet to be informed of? |

Sorry about the cookie monster I'm a health freak.....
This is just a beta version, I'll make some changes and think I'll eventually do a superhero version also.
But what would you call Sesame street characters and Barney (puppets?)?
Bonus question; from what tv show is the theme music I used?

I'd have to go with the geeks, puppets are definitely not cartoons.
Don't know what the theme music is, I had to put it on mute, sorry. |

A very comprehensive cartoon summary. You might want to include the above. What is the tigers name, btw?

Nah, not snagglepus. It was a proper orange & black striped tiger, like in the old Esso Oil ads. |

It's Tigger, originally a drawing from the first cartoon from Milne's Winnie the Pooh.
I know I'm missing lots so thanks for the pics and they'll be included in the more interactive version forthcoming.
btw, is a superhero, a "cartoon"? We had the clarification of the "puppets" (though I don't think this is the right term) and maybe some experts can inform us about the distinction between cartoon and action hero.......
Keep thinking about the theme music...

FYI Astro Boy = Atom Boy in these parts.
I didn't see Woody Woodpecker, Droopy. They're on Korean TV quite a bit. How bout the Justice League in there? Death Note? Captain Planet? Speed Racer my all time fav?
Definitely get rid of the Muppets and puppets. |
