Are they the law in South Korea also, or do most gyms just take it you know how to lift weights and use the running machines?

Nothing does my head in about gyms than the waste of time induction session! When I'm in Changwon I just want to get on with it! Whats the deal with the induction and do you have to pay?

This is sure disappointing.

I was all set to read a complaint about sexual harrassment at the gym--staring, fondling in the shower or maybe even a rape.

Note to OP: Please try to a bit more pizzazz in your posts in the future. No need to feel inhibited by truth.

My experience getting a gym membership:

Nobody spoke English at the gym, all the applications and information were in Korean. After paying for my membership I was handed a pair of shorts and a T-shirt that were two sizes too small, a towel, and a key.

Can you wear your own gear to the gym? Or is the matching t-shirt and
shorts mandatory wear?

I wear my own stuff most of the time and so do a lot of other people at my gym.
