Daybreak <---- cancelled don't bother

Cancelled, yes, but all episodes are available on torrents, and the season DOES conclude the story. I still say it's worth a watch.

Same with Kidnapped. Another cancelled show, but while the hostage rescuer character is the obvious driving force for what were supposed to be subsequent seasons, Season 1 does conclude the story they were telling. The "cliffhanger" at the end of the season only links to what is supposed to be the next story ARC in the (now cancelled) next season.

Unlike Vanished which was cancelled mid-season without tying up loose ends.

Other series I'd recommend:

Lucky Louie
The Joe Schmo Show (season 2 was better)
Larry Sanders
Invasion
Space: Above and Beyond
MXC: Most Extreme Elimination Challenge
Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares

MXC: Most Extreme Elimination Challenge

I have seasons 1-3 on CD and on my harddrive....

That show makes me laugh so hard. Season 1 episode one has a special place in my funny bone. It's the one where the guy tries to do a backflip and doesn't quite make it. HILARIOUS.....

1. Brotherhood (season 2 is just about to start, I think this is the best show on television right now).

2. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (hilarious, as funny as Arrested Development).

3. Extras (funny shit).

I tried watching Dexter but found it difficult to get into. I enjoy laugh-out-loud types of shows (since I'm usually also enjoying a beer or three) more than the makes-you-think-or-cringe types of shows.

FWIW, the best get-drunk-and-watch tv shows I've found have been:

MXC (thanks for the reminder!)

Family Guy

South Park

Boston Legal

Star Trek (the original with Shatner)

Robot Chicken

Will check out your recommendations, SMKOREA--looks good. Are there any other must-see shows that are good to watch with six friends?

I am looking for recommendations on intelligent shows. I have really enjoyed the dialog in Boston Legal and West Wing.

Any recommendations?

The Ultimate Fighter....season 6 just started. Its a reality tv show with the up and coming UFC fighters.

Warning: Not for the faint of heart.

That's still around?

I saw season 1 here on Korean TV and I loved it. Especially the finale....

Do you watch it through torrents or youtube or what?

hellya its still around. And your right, the finale of that first season was memorable. Believe they gave both heavey weight fighters a contract. But all the season are memorable for something.

Anyway, sometimes the downloads r alittle tricking to find. You can use this page http://www.torrentspy.com/ which works sometimes, but the best page is probably this one: http://www.torrenthero.com/ And you may need winrar to extract after downloading.

Also if you have TVU Player, it airs Wednedsay night ( not sure which American time zone) on Spike TV.

A lot of people are recommending the HBO drama about the war on (certain) drugs The Wire, and I wholeheartedly agree. It's one of the few shows I've ever been able to watch for hours on end without feeling guilty about.

And if you like The Wire, you'll probably also love Oz, the HBO prison drama Oz, which covers a lot of the same themes and then some. There's a lot of graphic man-on-man action, which may not be for everyone.

Ahh...laugh out loud stuff. Naughty clown, you should have mentioned that earlier *wiggling finger at the clown*

I'd say start downloading whatever's on the current Adult Swim line-up on Cartoon Network. Whatever's on that line-up always seems to crack me up. I'd also recommend the very funny Sealab 2021. I have watched every episode at least twice and I still laugh out loud at the antics of the show.

This weekend I saw an episode of "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." It has a really nice ensemble cast and got me interested. In the closing credits I saw it was an Aaron Sorkin/Tommy Schlamme show! I don't know if you can d/l it - but I'm going to check it out. It got 5 Emmy nominations, but as I understand it- it's been cancelled!

I think 30 Rock is pretty fine comedy...and Alec Baldwin is great in his role.

I also like Survivorman...if you are into outdoors stuff you'll learn a lot.

If you love B-movies (and I mean REALLY bad B-movies), then Mystery Science Theatre 3000 is for you. My favourite episodes:
- Time of the Apes (a Japanese version of Planet of the Apes),
- Samson the Silver Masked Man vs. the Vampire Women (a Mexican movie starring pro-wreslter El Santo),
- Mighty Jack (a sorta Japanese live action Thunderbirds), and
- Moon Zero Two (six gun shootouts on the moon... awesome)

Other TV shows:

- How It's Made
- Dirty Jobs
