The Korean Labor Standards Act was wholly amended on July 27, 2007 at the latest. However, the enforcement date of all revised provisions depends on the number of workers in your workplace.

Article 4 ( Enforcement Date of the Revised Provisions of the Labor Standards Act Amended by Act No. 6974)

Businesses with 1000 full-time workers or more : July 1, 2004

Businesses with 300 full-time workers or more; but less than 1000 : July 1, 2005

Businesses with 100 full-time workers or more; but less than 300 : July 1, 2006

Businesses with 50 full-time workers or more; but less than 100 : July 1, 2007

Businesses with 20 full-time workers or more; but less than 50 : July 1, 2008
