So is this only applicable to men married to Korean women.. not the other way round?

Excellent. I'm curious, too, why the OP was specific in this particular way.

High-Fives Around! I love you guys and stuff. Just rare we meet up on the same thread.
Ah, poo. I forget the topic again..

Yes, I asked about men marrying Korean women because the percentage is much higher than Korean men marrying Americans, etc., I think (emphasis on think).

As far as your reply, jinju, I had no intention of asking people who agreed to be interviewed about sex or other questions that might make someone uncomfortable.

elliemk,

What is your opinion of western men who marry Korean women?
I suspect you have a negative point of view about us.

The Hammer

P.S. I married a Korean woman 1 week and 3 days ago. We're still going strong.

You shouldn't make assumptions. I have no opinion one way or the other about men from other countries marrying Korean women. It's not up to me to judge, and people should marry whomever they want to. Like I said in my original post, I'm just curious and I think it would be an interesting article for others to read.

Why wouldn't you? This is the only question that seems really strange to me, and frankly OP, comes across as condescending. I question your motives here.

I thought the question was ridiculous.

Some people marry for visas. It's not such a stretch, when you consider what happens with a lot of viet and philipino brides marrying korean guys.

Me, I married because she and I think along very similar lines. She reminds me a lot of my family in how she views life and what should be done about this and that. She's cute, but not a princess. She is offended by the mere thought of infidelity by her friends or in marriage. I trust her. She's smart, and has a good career. She is very organized, has goals and works hard to achieve them. She is dedicated to me. She also keeps a clean house. Being around her makes me want to be a better man.

For a foreigner, I believe finding the above qualities in a Korean woman is RARE.

She also has no problem with doing every kinky little thing I want to do, just like a Japanese porn star, provided I reciprocate by being loving, affectionate and romantic. I think she enjoys watching me squirm, actually.

Western girls I dated in the past had too many expectations of romance built-up from TV shows, weren't interested in providing me with the sexual gratification I desired, are too selfish, and had too much of a chip on their shoulder created by the "you go girl" American feminism movement. It's one thing to be a proud woman -- it's yet another to ignore a man's needs in the process.

Most important of all -- my lady and I have fun together. Mom told me that's what's kept her and my father together all of these years as well.

haha.

True, but the this guy is asking American and Canadian men, not Vietnamese or Philipino women. While an F-2 visa keeps you legal to do private teaching, none of my married friends has ever married for that reason, and I doubt that many do.

If you're talking about Korean women marrying American or Canadian guys for visas, well I'm sure it does happen in cases of men being taken advantage of by scandalous women. Or possibly in a friendly arrangement. I'll give most Korean women a little more credit than that though. The thought of living in America or Canada for many Koreans is exciting, but hardly enough for most of them to marry a guy they don't love for IMO.

P.S. sounds like you found a great woman who loves you. congratulations!

Weren't you just complaining about your sex life and how you don't want it anymore? I wonder if you're ignoring HER needs.

Okay knuckleheads, now let's try spending more time providing sincere, fulsome answers to the OP's questions and less time jumping down her throat & second-guessing why she's asking them. Hmm? Razz
