Hey, sorry guys. I was going to come out Friday to Yongtong AND Saturday to ingyedong, but instead I spent my entire weekend (including my birthday) in the hospital!!! Damn not having immunity to Korean viruses yet... I hope to do something next weekend if anyone is doing anything. I am rescheduling my birthday celebration until next weekend. I should be pretty well healed up by then (I hope). Let me know if anyone is up. |

Good Lord...you are the third person I know that has been in the hospital for something this last week. What happened to you? Anaphalactic (sp?) reaction to shellfish, appendicitis and now you. Damn if I were a hypochondriac I'd have some serious issues . |

I have a new teacher to bring to the next meet up. She's from Canada. It's the teacher that took my position at my old school. So when are we going to do this again and where? |

I liked Ingye-dong better. I will be able to in a few weeks. I need my first uni pay check first. |

Yeah I think Crazy Duck was a lot more fun than Now/Wa bar. It's also a lot cheaper with better drinks (at least for me). I think the weekend after Chuseok maybe might be good, say around the 6th or something.
It also looks like there might be one or two new teachers that might come to the meet up. One is the new teacher at my old school like I said in an earlier post and I just saw a new teacher at Ajou uni in the BST forum. It looks like Suwon is somewhat popular for teachers
Is everyone that got sick recently feeling better? No one else end up in the hospital? |

I had mentioned in an earlier message that I would be in Suwon soon.. I sent of my degree, signed contract et al to the recruiter for the Suwon job but got an email a few days after my papers arrived saying the teacher had decided to stay on for another year.
Atleast I know it wasa good job that I picked, lol.
So now, I'm going to be in Yongin I think, but not for a couple of weeks now. Might head along to Suwon for one of the meet ups if I'm still welcome? |

Could anyone tell me the location of the Now! Bar and Wa Bar? I've been in Suwon of one week and so don't really know my way around yet.
Even better, are there places other than bars to meet people?
Thanks! |

Its about 25,000 won. Ask for flat rate and try several taxi's. Or better, spend the night in a hotel for same amount and come back to suwon next day on subway. |

What about the 13th, that's far enough in advance that we can make plans for the get together but and not be trying to schedule it around other plans. Plus it shoud be after the majority of people's paydays so money shouldn't be an issue I think everyone should be back from the various vacations by then as well. The question is where? Ingye-dong Crazy Duck like last time or Youngtong Now Bar like the first couple of times? I know a couple of more people that might be willing to come up for it I think I can bring 1-5 more people if we make a set date.
What does everyone think? Crazy Duck is a little on the small side so a really big group might not work there. |
