I have a job offer in Seoul for 2.7mil won and one outside Seoul for 2.5mil won. Considering that life is usually more expensive in the capital, would I be able to save more on the 2.5 salary just because it's outside of Seoul?

Is there some reason other than being ignored that you double posted this in 2 forums?

Probably depends on how far outside of Seoul you're talking about.

A 20 minute bus ride outside of Seoul is, well, Seoul. A three hour bus ride in most directions (not including into the ocean) would give you a lot lower living expenses. Utilities in Seoul can be 5-8 times what they are in other parts of Korea.

It really depends. I just moved out of Seoul and my daily/utility expenses went up. No cheap busses/subway, higher internet and phone rates, etc. It's a crap shoot. If you are the type to go out and party in the city, then the countryside would be cheaper because there is nowhere to party.
