This year has been insane in the world of MMA (UFC for the most part). Somebody could very well be alot richer just by betting on one of the upsets that have happened this year. Im hoping Fedor, who is my favorite fighter, doesn't sign with UFC untill 2008...for the simple reason that he would probably lose with the way things are going. Shogun, to me has been on the losing side of the biggest upset this year, IMO. Which fight dropped your jaw the most ?

I second the Matt Serra GSP fight. Something was wrong with Shogun. Either he was completely out of shape (he did look a little soft) or he broke a rib or something in the first round. That guy is used to fighting 10 minute rounds in Pride and he was sucking wind after the first 5 minute round.

Randy Couture at age 45 - after being KO'd by Chuck Liddell for the second time - moving up to heavyweigt and dominating much bigger man,Tim Sylvia, for the championship was a major upset.

It was also at least a mild upset for "Rampage" Jackson to beat Liddell.

Bigger than that was "Crocop's" first loss in UFC - to Gabriel Gonzaga - who then lost to Couture (in another mild upset...)

Keith Jardine's win over Liddell last week was another big upset...

I expected a lot of the Pride fighters making the switch to UFC, to come over and win but a lot of them ended up losing in their debut fight. The biggest upset for me was the Cro Cop knockout, and the Shogun tap out.

My vote would be on Crocop's loss. That was pretty staggering. Behind that, Bisping -- but that's still controversial. Recently I was pretty shocked at Jardine's win over Liddell, but Chuckie looked pretty weak.

agreed, all but rampage have looked terrible, even nogeira looked rusty against herring, that fight could have been stopped in the 1st easily. Im hoping Wanderlei Silva has a solid debut, does he have an opponent yet ?

99 times out of 100 GSP should wipe the mat with Serra... unfortunately for him, that fight was tat 1 in a 100. One lucky punch and....

TUF 6 is sad... I don't like Hughes as a person much, but the more and more I watch, the more I believe Serra doesn't belong there. "Little Man Syndrome" indeed. He's just an ass with a belt he doesn't deserve.
