i've got a week off in a couple of days. where should i go?
last week we went to 무의도, a beachy and mountainous island on the west coast. for as beautiful as it is, it's crazily close -- from the airport, just take the 222 for 5 minutes to the ferry terminal, and after a 3-minute crossing you're there. had a great time -- a bungalo on the beach is 30,000 won, and the seafood is spectacular.
any recommendations for other awesome places to check out? |

For a week? Try Ulleung-do. I spent a few days there and could easily have spent more. I didn't bother with Dokdo from Ulleung-do, but it's a few hours away by ferry if you want a different kind of anthropological experience. To get to Ulleung-do, take the ferry from Pohang. |

Jejudo is fun for a few days, especially if you have a car.
Busan is good for a couple days and Gyeongju is good for 3 or 4, especially if you enjoy hiking..
Mokpo would be nice if you can get on boat rides, but transportation and communication can be a problem.
You could also go to your local PC bang and get really good at Starcraft. |

Jejudo can take up a week.
The scenery ain't bad and the beaches are ok,
well as good as any in New Jersey.
If you have some money try going to the Philipines or Saipan. |
