I concur. Each candidate out there now has something about them I don't like. Every single one.

I suppose I could vote for Biden:

Quote:
While speaking to a group of Indian-Americans in Delaware, Biden stated in regards to his relationship with the Indian-American community: "I've had a great relationship. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking."

I don't know why I bothered voting. My state is one of bluest of the blue. The whole election is decided in 5 states anyway. I don't like any of the candidates.
That being said, anybody who runs for President is an idiot. The Senate is where it's at. 6 year terms, free cocaine and discount hookers. You get to vote to raise your own salary. Who would want to give up a 30-50 year stay in the Senate, just to be ridiculed by the public and the world?

Choosing not to vote still enables, supports, and opposes the candidates, respectively.

I can't believe I'm about to type this but...I've always voted. I've considered it a sacred duty. But this Presidential election...it has to be the worst. I'm not sure I could vote for anyone.

Yeah, in the end, I'll vote for someone. But throw me down for completely undecided.

The person you want to vote for should support an amendment to dissolve the electoral college and reform the senate to a populist house.

Or maybe reform the constitution to a Parliamentary form.

Is such a strong executive really relevant in any nation within a global economy?

Ron Paul will get my vote. Sadly, he probably won't even make it far enough even though a lot of people like him. I like that he wants to keep the country close to the original Constitution. He does not want a one world government like the liberals, and wants to keep the government out of private affairs. I think it's funny how all the other Reps. get their feathers all ruffled over the fact that he is running under the Reps. I'm not even a republican, by the way. If I had to label myself, perhaps I am centrist.

I think Hillary is quite articulate, but I don't think she will make a good president. All the other Dems suck, in my opinion. Global warming, come on...I don't like any of the Reps., either. And living in Boston/Cambridge for 5 years = I don't like Romney.

And I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but our votes don't count anyway. Now, to counter and confuse that point, I think people should vote because we have the right to do so, but it will be a while until our votes truly count. We need to keep on voting anyway to keep our right to vote.

Like I said in a previous post, the International Bankers control the world. They control the media, and the politics. The whole MTV "Rock the Vote" was just a scheme to get kids to think they are getting involved. It's really scary, actually.

Sorry for the rant, but I just got bit by, literally, three mosquitos. Upped my blood pressure.

Undecided voters may have no viable option for someone who represents them. Many people who don't vote are lazy and ignorant, but I would rather those people NOT play a part in politics. Many university students, an educated group, can't tell you WHY they are voting for someone. That's dangerous and leads to bad leaders. Other people who don't vote are making a personal choice and often a political statement because there are often no valuable candidates.

Voting doesn't do much, like write of weigh touched on. If you want to be political, you have to do more. Voting is too little and too seldom, but it gives idiots the feeling that they are being patriotic and lets them feel like they don't have to do anything else.

yeah, coming up with clever quips like 'muck fcdonalds' is the force that moves the world forward. keep it up, mr. freedom!

You still bitter about the McD's posting? You must be on Ronald's shlong right now.

Your response had nothing to do with what I wrote. Take the stick out of your arse, and yuck fou, too.

He'd have my vote, too.

I like Ron Paul's foreign policy, but his domestic policies are awful.

I wish we had the 2000 version of McCain, but he's gone way downhill. Now, if we could get Hillary and Obama together, we'd have a winner. Put McCain in charge of the DOD, he'd do a great job.

I'd like to see a John Edwards / Barack Obama ticket.

That being said, I think the OP is a little off his/her rocker if he/she is complaining about people actually thinking about candidates rather than "knee-jerking" into the next election. What do you expect at this point in the race? There are a dozen candidates for each party in the U.S. Should people just throw a dart at a photo of the debate stage in order to pick? Undecided doesn't necessarily mean apathetic. It might mean the opposite, in fact.

Thirded.

Fourthed.

Maybe in the states you have a fair voting system. Try being in England where we have first past the post. Rubbish, unrepresentative system. Any wonder why only 40% turn out to vote. And the PM can do what he wants, because he has absolute control.

I think the people have every right not to vote. If they don't feel they'll be represented then why bother.

Politicians don't represent their peoples views anymore so why should people vote for them. Politicians get in and follow their own agendas not their constituents.
