hey all....question - do you need your ARC before you can set up a cell phone on pay as you go?
i was able to get internet and a bank account without one and would like to get a phone going as well!!

You only need a passport for a pay-as-you-go phone.
You need your passport, ARC and bankbook for a plan phone. |

i bought my phone from another foreign teacher who left....so do i just go to any store and say 'pay as you go' and hope they know what i need?! |

You'll have more luck saying "PPS" (pre-paid service) as that's what the Koreans generally refer to it as. But if you live in Seoul and really want to make it easy on yourself, just go and do it in Itaewon.
