Would this pose problems if trying to get hired?

What about after getting hired?

My boyfriend did it after he was hired and had no problems. I know of another guy who is bald and has no problems. I've also seen some bald foreigners on the subway here.

I don't forsee it to be a problem, but maybe some other people here have had some other experiences.

My hair is shaved very short and it's never given me problems. Seemingly fewer problems than other foreigners get.

I completely shave mine (razor and shaving cream) about once a week and often get compliments on my "haircut."

Just remember, you can never use too much aftershave lotion!

I've been buzzing mine for years. Now and then someone asks if I'm a Buddhist, but otherwise it hasn't been a problem.

No and no. I've been in both situations (short before hiring, shaved after) and (shaved before hiring)... has had zero influence on getting the job, IME, and I've been shaving it for more than 15 years and in Korea for 11. My earring has not been a problem either.

For the first week after I get a haircut, some people think (and ask me if) I am a US soldier. I imagine if I shaved my head I'd get it a lot more, and considering the low opinion some Koreans have of the US soldiers, this might make job hunting difficult.

What I'm saying is: if you shave your head, will you look like you're in the military? If you would, I'd suggest keeping your hair.
Of course this is hypothetical though, since I've never had a shaved head while looking for work.

The girls at my school hate it. You have to have long hair like their metrosexual idols.

If that's the type of guy they're attracted to, then thank christ I shave my head.

I recently had a grade 6 all over which was quite a departure from my previous longish hair. After the intial surprise everyone soon got used to it.

Nobody's ever brought it up with me. I've never been mistaken for a soldier.

There's this kid in one of my middle school classes. He had nice hair. Then, one day, he started to go bald in front. I was like, man, that looks bad. I thought he had cancer. I was really touchy about it... then, some kid was teasing him about it... I went off on the other kid. The next day, the kid came to school totally bald and he looked totally pathetic... turns out, he has some neurological disorder that causes him to uncontrollably pluck hairs from the front top of his head....

I am a chick and I shave my head. I leave it about a 1/4 inch (a little longer now thats its getting cold) and other than some of my female students begging me to grow it out so I can get a boyfriend nobody has said boo about it. In fact, some women pass me on the street and motion to it with positive expressions.
