Although I'm American, I'm getting my fill of rugby these past couple of weekends. Got Romania vs. the All Blacks on the Sopcast as we speak.

England looked a little weak against Tonga which were a surprise.

Poor Canada & US should stick to smacking pucks around and forward passing.

All Blacks look like the team to beat. Wilkerson's a shoe-in for the points-scored record.

Wales vs Fiji gets my vote as the most exiting game of the 1st round/ I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Good stuff. I'm Aussie (albeit with a British passport) and this is my second world cup here. One thing I love about the expatriate experience is sharing your sporting culture with others. I had a sh1tload of American friends here at the last one and many of them are rugby converts today. I even got one American friend into cricket, god knows how. Watching college football and the superbowl with NA friends has also provided me with some unforgettable moments. One thing though, Wilkinson might be on the tail of Gavin Hastings' record (for most points in WCs) but against Tonga he looked far from his former best in 2003. That and never under-estimate the ability of the Wallabies. The ABs have a horrible track record at these things.

Just home from the bar after watching Ireland get their arses handed to them by Argentina.

And I watched France kick the living snot out of Georgia.

Sadly, I can't say which game was more painful to watch Crying or Very sad
