Excluding I-Tunes, what are some music download sites.

I find anything I-Pod to be the devil. What are some sites you use?

There are big music sites that try to cover everything...Oink seems to be the biggest at the moment....then there are specialist sites for certain genres. Google and ye shall find.

if you say your oink account is shut down due to inactivity (when someone asks you for an invite), either you're a liar and never had an account, or your ratio was shit and you didn't deserve to be a member in the first place.

if you keep your ratio above 1.05 then you can become a power user and they don't delete your account due to inactivity ... ever!

the entire philosophy behind oink is that you MUST share. they have rules and those rules are enforced strictly. in fact, many rules about accounts are automated. so if the numbers aren't right, then the system boots you ... not the moderators.

i have 7 oink invites ... i've given a few out, but i'm reluctant to share invites with people whom i don't know. the reason is that if i invite someone who doesn't play nice, they will be booted and i can be booted too. so all users are responsible for those they invite.

also, it's incredibly difficult to keep a good ratio on oink. this is due to the fact that all torrents are well seeded and you can't up your ratio just by seeding alone ... you really need to upload music.

btw, sucks about demonoid ... i sure hope it's not gone forever.

So how do we get a chance to be invited to oink and share the wealth? I don't get it. Confused

Edit:
If anyone should be so kind as to extend me an invite to Oink, I shall promise to buy you a bottle of whiskey in addition to keeping my account active by uploading regularly and following the rules!
