Koreans on facebook made me laugh today.
I joined a group looking for some Korean language practice. Instead I found a bunch of insecure racists.
The group is called 'yes. we're Korean. Envy us'.
I joined and read the posts. They post a bunch of crap about how Koreans are the 2nd smartest people in the world, and a bunch of other pride crap. I posted and asked them why they see the need to wave their flag around.
I got insulted by them, then kicked out of the group. The final comment was 'get out of here, you white guy'. That was from a Korean living in America.
Lovely. Go Korea!!! I envy them. |

Hahaha, some of that shit is funny.
Quote: |
- The world competition of Starcraft, a computer strategist game, is practically dominated by Korean players.
- Korean players are also best in Fifa, Age of Empires, and most computer games.
- Naver at 69% dominate search engine over American search engine like Yahoo (14%) or Google (2%) in Korea: 2005.11 standard
- Daum at 79% dominate portal site over American portal sites like MSN (4%) in Korea: 2005.11 standard
- Koreans dominate speed skating and archery in the olympics
- Koreans are the only ones to use metal (stainless steel) chopsticks!
- Koreans dominate speed skating and archery in the olympics
|
Other points seem to be copied directly out of a Korean history book:
Quote: |
- Admiral Yi (이순신) is regarded as most ingenious naval strategist in the world today, even better than Nelson of England.
- Tae-Kwon Do is the most popular and accepted martial art in the world
- One of Asian countries with very long history at founding to 2333 BCE
5. Korean language (한글) is supposed to be most scientifically developed language in the world
|
This one made me laugh the hardest:
Quote: |
- The top three abroad races participating in sport Wushu happen to be Korean (1) Chinese (2) and Filipino (3)
|
I'd agree with most that the site seems to be mostly made up of high school kids, not really worth your time. Funny, nontheless.

While the list they got there is kinda funny, he's so serious "I gotta teach you a lesson or two" tone also made me chuckle..

I am also proud of my country. I don't see the need to wave my flag in people's faces. Why do you? I think it stems from insecurity. |
It seems nobody forced you to join their own little online group to make you endure their flag-waving?
Quote: |
You guys are seriously deluding yourself. Who made this little club talking about how great Korea is? Seriously. If any other nation did this, people would accuse them of being racists. |
Any other nation? You mean, kids of other nationalities? Racists? As far as I can see, they are not preaching racial hatred or anything. There are bunch of other blah blah pride! groups.

if you are bored just report the thread with the white dude comment both of them.
Enough reports will see the group vanish. |
