|
|
So my friend has been working at a hagwan for about a month and a half.
She has repeatedly asked when they will book her plane ticket for her Visa run. They just keep putting it off. She wants to quit and find a better job, and she wants to quit on the basis of working without her Visa.
How easy will it be for her to leave her school? The school has her Visa issuance #. Is there any way the school can try and keep her there or get her into trouble? Or can she just leave without and sort of hassle? |

Well, it's onl good fro 3 months anyways. Once the time has passed, she can't use it to get a visa and must re-apply for a new visa issuance number.
If I were her, I'd just leave and wait it out, and sign with another school willing to deal a little straighter. What's the school gonna do? She doesn't have a visa, so they can't force her to work. |

I wonder if it's worth a shot her going to immigration and pleading. Perhaps, I don't know if this will be the case, she could play her cards right and immigration would cancel her visa issuance number. |

The visa issuance number is like the old "blue form" the old timers used to get to obtain their visas.
The blue form was and now the issuance number is good for 3 months if the person intends on working there, but if not, she can move on and find another job without consequence.
But when she applies for another job, they might ask her why she rejected the prior job, other than that, I doubt anything bad can come from it. |

But does she have to wait 3 months? She has had other offers and would like to just quit the bad job. |

I still think she should go to Immigration and show them this as written on paper;
1 ) My boss wants me to work with no E2 Visa.
2 ) I teach NO classes because I have NO E2 Visa.
3 ) My boss will not send me to Japan to get my E2 Visa.
4 ) I ask him, "Please send me to Japan."
5 ) He said, "I will." He does not send me to Japan. He lie to me.
6 ) EVERYDAY he wants me to work with no E2 Visa.
7 ) My E2 Visa Issuance Number is ______________.
8 ) Please cancel E2 Visa Issuance Number.
9 ) I want to go to good school. |
