How would one go about getting a pension refund (of over 5 years) without a foreign (in my case, US) bank account? I closed all accounts before coming here, and have not opened one since. I do, however, have a Korean bank account.

Is the Pension refund twice what you pay in over 12 months. (ie your contribution + the employers?) |

In regards to pension, do they only put it in your accoutn after you leave teh country? I'm finishing my job in December. It seems that if you applied in November and they paid you in November, you owuld be losing your contribution from December. So my question is, how close to my last day should I be applying. Thanks! |

Bish. You will not get a refund immediately when you leave. The joys of being from the UK. |

Those who said they got it deposited into their Korean accounts are lucky I guess. I did it last year and they refused flat out to do that. They said since I didn't have a foreign bank account they would send me a money order - which they did.
Thing is, it takes a month for the money order, then another 2 weeks for it to clear.
Next time I do it, I know now don't let my Canadian bank account expire |
