Recently, I have been talking with a number of foreigners who seem rather well connected with all that goes on here in Korea (especially if it pertains to us). I was just curious as to what some of you have in your bookmarks for practical websites while here in Korea. Obviously, this forum is one of them and need not be listed.

What you value the site for doesn't concern me. Sometimes the new perspective is unexpected but quite nice nonetheless.

I have to admit I am behind the curve here. I only have Papa Johns bookmarked!

In any event, have fun with it.

I have a list of Country specific (under 'C') resource links on my site below, which contain some for Korea - some of these include the inevitable personals listing etc. These were all the main links I could find which seem of practical use for the teacher in Korea. Ddeubels link looks good, too.

The content there is excellent, but the poor layout and inexplicable barrage of church photos keep me from going there more than a few times a month.

Seeing as this is GD, I'll leave the educational websites out of this list. These are pretty invaluable to living here:

http://endic.naver.com/ English Korean/Korean English Dictionaary

http://www.smrt.co.kr/english_smrt/cyberstation_smrt/cyberstation.jsp Seoul Subway Map

http://maps.naver.com/ Mapping and directions for all of Korea

http://real.traffic.naver.com/category?cid=11 Traffic for all major roads/highways in the country

http://traffic.local.naver.com/bus/Bus_1000_LaneGuide.asp?CID=1000&LMenu=2 Bus information System

http://www.kma.go.kr/weather_main.jsp Korean Weather

http://www.immigration.go.kr/indeximmeng.html Korean Immigration

http://english.chosun.com/ Chosun Ilbo - news

http://koreaherald.com/ Korean Herald - more news

http://jobs.seoul.go.kr/ Seoul gov't Job board - good for non-esl jobs

As well as the websites previously mentioned. Hope some of this helps.
