I don't know any places in particular. I make it a point to have DIY hair just for the convenience of it, especially here in Korea. If you are talking about braiding and other things for natural hair, I hear there are a number of good places in Itaewon.
If you just want to straighten your hair, just use the search function and put in "magic" "and" "straight." If that's what you're looking for, there are a few hair places that ladies on the board have recommended in the past.
You could also try to make friend with some of the military women for advice.
Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful. |

Never seen one personally. I guess you could order one off the internet.
I've been here 3 years and I haven't a clue...
Having my hair "au natural" has saved me a lot of time and money here especially since I live 3 hours from Seoul. |

As in African style hair?
Yes, most definitely.
There is one in Itaewon, located at the bottom of the hooker hill area. They are nigerian-owned, I think, and do everything from basic cuts to braids of all shapes and sizes.
Find Coffee Bean in the center of Itaewon (the old Burger King between all of the subway stops). Standing on that Coffee Bean corner, you'll see Hamilton Hotel to your North, Geckos Terrace to your West, and a hill going slightly down to the South. Head down that hill toward the South, and walk about 30 meters, passing the family mart (or it might be a buy the way convenience store). Take the first left you can. It will be up a small alley. Take that left, and walk straight, which will be East, another 75 meters or so. On your left will be this small hair shop. |

I forgot about this thread. I just shaved my head last night. So much easier than paying someone to fuss with it |

There is a place in Itaewon. Walk on the Hamilton Hotel side of the street and head towards Noksapyeong. You'll pass the post office and then the road will sort of split. One will continue straight and the other starts to head up a hill (still following the road...if that makes sense) leading towards Petra's. The place is a few shops up on the right. You'll see pics in the window that let you know its the place. They usually work upstairs so you may have to holler up to see if anyone is there.
Cheers! |
