I am trying to gather up the necessary items to download and burn movies. My American pc does not have burning software on it. Is there free DVD burning software available for download? My goal is to burn the movies that I download while here in Korea. Does anyone use software that they would recommend? Thanks in advance. |

A spare 500 gig HDD can be bought for around 115k won ( I bought one on Saturday) and it will hold over 100 DVD quality movies (200+ hours of video at DVD quality (4.7 gigs per DVD)).
Why would you bother burning disks just for movies?
They get scratched, they take up too much space, it is a pain to burn when you already have them stored on the HDD.
And most DVD burners come with DVD copy / burning software.
Otherwise you can download copies of powerproducer or nero and install them.
You're pirating the movies, not a long stretch to do the software too. |

Wow ttompatz, is that an external HDD drive that can be hooked up to any PC and carried as a stand alone storage device like the tiny USB sticks? That's cheap, I find myself in recent times wishing for more hard disk space so I wouldn't spend so much time managing space.
That's a cool half of a terabyte, enough to do plenty of 699 megabyte xvid movies downloads, uh, I mean pirated off of the Internet illegal movies and shows. I figure that since we are in Asia and no one is providing services, why not go get it on the internet.
If it were not for pirated movies, I would not know what to do for movies while outside the US or other English speaking western country as no one from America is out there selling or renting licensed movies out in the world in my local area. I spent time outside my home country during most of the 1990's, but I had special stores catering to my exclusive needs and wants while serving in the military. Not so when you're on your own out in the world.
Get that big momma HHD and steal all the English programming you can folks. You deserve it. Rushee Cashee commercials don't do the trick for me. LOL! |
