Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this. I received a text from a friend in Korean. It is quite possible that I received it in error, but I can't get ahold of my friend to ask. Could someone a little further along than me in Korean study translate? Crappy Babelfish didn't do me much good. Here is the text:

제목:난갠잖아요. 당산이그러는게난랜잖아요.당신이그러는게오히려도이상한데요..걱정말아요.당신나쁜사람이라고생각하지않으니까.내가화낼일도아니고...잘자구좋은꿈꾸세요

Thanks very much in advance.

They often don't do 띄어쓰기 (spacing) when they write text messages, right?

Translation:

"I'm alright (It's alright). It's okay that you do that (you are like that). It's rather weird that you do that.. Don't worry. I don't think you are a bad person. That's not something that should make me upset. Sleep tight. Sweet dreams."

It's interesting to read that even Korean speakers spell words wrong - or use short forms and hope that the reader understands him/her.

What did you do, nab-bun sahlam???

hehehe..

It's really not that weird when you look at how rampant bad spelling is among English speakers, even on this board for English teachers.

But you are talking a totally phonetic language versus one that has so many exceptions to the rule.

Sometimes things are spelled wrong because it makes them sound cuter.

So, OP, what is it that you do that's so weird? That's the bigger question. Very Happy

Anything we're thinking is probably worse than the thing you actually do, so you should just tell us. Very Happy

Haha actually the message was sent to me in error, but I know what its about. It was sent by my Korean male friend and was intended for my Korean female friend. He was quite upset that she slept at my place one night and this message was regarding that situation. Sorry for the slow response, but I don't check these boards all that often.
