Everyone knows about the features so I just want to talk about the things that bother me.

First off, the metal on the back of the Touch is a scratch magnet. Anything and everything will scratch the back. I put it down on a glass top, picked it up and there were already scratches on the back of the thing.

The tilt interface doesn't work with all the features. The calendar, contacts, and a couple other areas do not respond to the axis of the Touch.

Apple should have kept the volume buttons. I shouldn't have to take the Touch out of my pocket to do something as simple as pause, raise/lower the volume, and change tracks.

Other than those things, I'm pretty happy with it. I really wish the Touch cases were out and available so that I can try to protect the metal back of it.

PM sent JungMin.

Another thing is the disk size is misleading. Its 8GB but as soon as I plugged it into iTunes, it told only about 7.11 GB was free/usable. There are a lot of images/wallpapers that come preloaded that I wish weren't there to free up more space.

So far, I think I'll be happy with the 8GB model. I only carry around about 700 songs so that leaves about 4GB left over for games, movies, etc...

Pkang, glad you like the touch, they sure look pretty cool and have a lot of functions. There are basic plain (cheap) silicone case for them already on ebay. I bought one similar to this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Silicone-case-for-iPod-Touch-White-Screen-Protector_W0QQitemZ320166860733QQihZ011QQcategoryZ118182QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It does provide serious protection but does save you the scratches. There are also a number of cases listed o ilounge.com

I would like to add that the movie interface needs some work. There's no button for fast forward/slow down. There's a play position bar, but the damn thing is so small that its hard to use.

There's no brightness adjustments when paying a video. You have to stop the video you are playing, exit out to the main menu, go into settings to change the brightness. It would be great if they had preset brightness button where a tap will automatically change it from 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%.

I've had a couple glitches syncing with iTunes. It'll tell me that the iPod has timed out or that it is not even plugged in. Hopefully its just a software bug with iTunes.

Despite the negative aspects, I love this thing. It's almost TOO nice. I feel like I shouldn't be carrying it around in my pocket or use it when I go exercise.

How much did you pay for it?

The itouch seems quite expensive for ONLY 8GBs.

Also, no radio Question WTF Question Question

The Korean PMPs (cowon, istation) blow the itouch out of the water.

It is good looking though... so you can have a good looking piece of cr@p. Rolling Eyes

People get confused as to what the Touch is.

http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/09/17/an_in_depth_ipod_touch_review.html&page=5

"The Touch is an amazing device, executed with brilliant hardware design and borrowing much of the iPhone's slick software. I can't really fault the Touch for not being something it isn't trying to be. If it were billed as a PDA or an "iPhone without the phone," I'd have to give it a fair to poor rating. But it isn't, it being sold as an iPod that also does web and photos."

As for me, I love this thing. Its absolutely sexy too. It is a head turner, thats for sure.

Can the COWON access youtube videos?

Apple Marketing says whatever people want to hear, but the iTouch costs as much as a standard PMP. Also, the iTouch has fewer features (smaller screen, less storage, no radio, no DMB, etc.) than the Korean PMPs.

Same money as a regular PMP, but fewer features.

If you live in Korea, why in the world would you buy an iTouch?? Rolling Eyes

The iTouch is pocketable, something that cannot be said for larger PMPs. And for some people, that is a very important point. In fact, I don't know a device that is easily pocketable that has a larger screen. That alone carves out a niche in the market.

Personally, I don't need a PMP. I get motion sickness if I watch video on the bus. I live in Gimpo, so there aren't subway stations here. I can't even play my DS while I'm riding a bus because i'll get a headache.

The touch is exactly what I need. An MP3 player that will allow me to access the internet if I need to check my e-mail. On top of that, its sexy. Everyone I know has been wanting to try it out.

#1. Its a great MP3 player. The user interface is awesome.

#2. Its freaking sexy as hell. Its not bulky like a PMP. I can slip it into my pockets without it looking like I'm carrying a brick.

#3. It works flawlessly with all my other iPod stuff (speakers, docks, chargers, etc...)

For my uses and purposes, PMP's are useless pieces of crap. I'm never going to use them to watch video, DMB, or whatever. If I want to play games, I have my DS.

If you look at the Touch as a PMP player, then yes, it falls short in many different aspects compared to other products available. If you look at it as just another Ipod, then its a great device.

Different strokes for different folks. I wanted the Ipod Touch, so I got one and I love it.

If you want me to get a PMP so badly, then buy me one.

I've got a question....

Obviously, as YouTube has offical support on the iPod Touch, you can watch these videos.

But how about other video sites?? One that jumps to mind is www.tv-links.co.uk - here you can watch tv shows, movies, music videos, cartoons, etc. Does this site work?? Can you watch these videos on your iPod??
