I was thinking about this the other day. What if some virus spread and killed off 90% of the male population on the planet?

How would this effect the planet?

What would you do if you were one of the remaining males?

How would this effect the remaining female population on the planet?

I believe there would be chaos at first as transportation and food suplies would be disrupted. But eventually the females would get their act together and the remaining men would be hunted down as sex slaves.

I think society might go back to polygamy and men would have harems. Or they'd be passed around and used as organic sperm banks. Either way, sign me up!

Read "Y: The Last Man" it is an excellent (read: literary) comic by Brian K. Vaughan.

I don't know yet, can you get comics in SK? Western comics?

The basic synopsis is that all women go lesbian out of necessity, though some still want a man and that compicates the storyline, and as such, with the required evolution of genetic science and a lift on the ban for cloning, want ANY remaining man dead. Hilarity ensues. Really, though, it is an excellent look at gender roles and how they are essentially social constructs.

My question is would women still dress sexy and wear make up and all?

Basically there would be substantially more competition, but at the same time they would weld a hell of a lot more power.

The women would rule and the males would become museum pieces, and their seed would be collector items. Nobody uses collectibles. It dulls their value. Laughing

Note that Don Juan and Casanova were not political and that Billy Clinton was political only so far as the heft of the women that would approach him through the narrow corridors of access that his wife allowed. Rolling Eyes

From my Discovery Channel watching, I know what would happen: the males would become sociopaths, killing children and demanding the best cut of all the food, and yet they would be used and abused during the "heat" only to be run off after a while of the lionesses getting their fill of this particular character.
