Does anyone know if it's possible to get a Euro (currency) bank account from here in Korea? I don't mean a Euro account at a Korean bank but a bank account in Europe that I can open from here in Korea.

You can open an account in most major currencies.

Check out the banks websites for more info.

Here's info for koomin

I'm sure that there are plenty of other banks that do it too. KEB etc.

Thanks for both suggestions. I'm checking into both Kookmin Bank's account and the SwissPost online application.

Kookmin Bank has a Euro account and Swisspost has an online application form for a bank account. One more question. If I have a Euro Bank account and the Won becomes worthless because of war or something, my Euros are still good, right? I'm not so worried about Kookmin bank going under because it's the strongest bank in Korea and other banks survived the Korean war.
