I was thinking of taking my girlfreind our to eat at the seoul tower. One of the Korean teachers at my school suggested it but she's never been there nor had any of the others been there.

Has any one eaten at the Korean or the Western grill place there? I'd like to know what you thought?

I've found one of the most frustrating things about Korea is that I just have to rely on so much second hand information.

PS. I looked in the FAQs forum and there was nothing there about the tower so please don't throw that at me. It makes me cry.

also the search function is rather worthless.

PS. I would also like to spring for a Stickied good date idea thread in the FAQ forum.

I went to the restaurant at the very top for a beer. They were each around 10,000. Coffee was the same. We walked out and down to the snack bar one floor down. Heineken was 5,000 there, but that's not a real restaurant.

yep I took my girlfriend to the top 'expensive' tower restaurant. It is actually very nice and the food is good too. I ordered a place with half a lobster and half a steak it was about 70,000 which also included some entries. All in all we spent 200,000 for a meal for two with wine (it was her birthday).. Its very classy so wear something decent.

Make sure if you go they will try and charge you the fee to go up into the tower, you just tell them that you are eating at the restaurant and they should take you to the express lift, after, on the way down you also get free entrance to the observatory.

Yes, I ate at the fancy rotating restaurant at the top of the tower. My husband and I took an out-of-town friend there. Make a reservation! I called a few days ahead and asked if I needed a reservation and they said it wouldn't be busy that night and not to worry about it.

My husband, friend, and I went there on the designated weeknight and could only score a table on the inside (not the outer part that rotates). That didn't ruin anything per se, but the place is EXPENSIVE. We paid more than 200,000 Won for three four-course meals. The food was tasty and well presented and the service was very good. It's just a tad pricy for everything you get.

I'd recommend it for a romantic night with your girlfriend. Go around dusk so you get the best views as it turns into night. Just make sure to have someone make a reservation for you.

**I just saw on the middle of this web page below that phone reservations are now required. It also says there is service in English and Japanese.

Click the blue box at the top to make an online reservation. It's in Korean so have someone help you if you need it. Have fun!

I did. You don't need a reservation unless you go Friday or Saturday night. It's between 65000 and 90000 for a meal. Drinks are somewhat expensive (a juice being 12000 won). They will refund half your ticket price up the tower if you eat there too.

Hell, I just went to the restaurant just outside the gondola exit. Good dongdongju.
