Apparently, if I present a 'certificate of residency' by a competent authority before I enter Korea, I can claim back my tax and pension contributions for the first two years.
Which organisations qualify as competent (is the competent by western or korean standards) authorities? I am in the UK btw.

| you can get a certificate of residency from your city hall or town office ( it will include the full time in Korea, not just in that area |

| Considering the poor town planning (what planning?), garbage strewn about, and lack of services, how can you say City Hall is a 'competent authority'? Maybe the correct expression is that you can get a certificate of residency from in 'incompetent authority'. |
