| I just decided to make the move and go. I look forward to talking with everyone, the board seems very helpful and has some cool people. Anyway, I just registered with ESL Planet and am gonna try to get to Korea before the end of the year. I have a BPS in business management with a focus in audio and music from an accredited school.. thing is my transcripts won't say that. It'll only have enough classes for an Associate's degree. So how important is this whole transcript thing? I'd hate it if I had to go back to school for 2 more years before I can teach overseas, I'd like to do this for a long time. So would I be able to get away with just having the actual physical degree and not the transcripts? Take a gamble and send them the transcripts hoping they're dumb enough to not even look at them? Thanks.. |

If you have a full degree (3-4 year equivalent), that is most important. Sealed transcripts are further proof.
How do you have a 3 or 4 year degree without enough classes for one?
I don't know what a BPS is, so if that's only a 2 year degree, you can't legally teach here. |

| Go ahead and send the transcripts dude. My brother was handed an e2 visa with an unaccredited(it was an actual 3 years course, the owner stold money and they closed down the uni) degree. Now he has found out that its nor proper to teach with that he has come clean and informed the school about it. Anyways I think you will have nothing to lose. |

| Awesome thanks for the responses.. haha well the thing is.. I decided I wasn't really into the business classes so switched to the Associate's program, they messed up and sent me that degree. So according to the degree, I finished 4 years. Guess it was so I can go abroad. |

| Don't come here unless you can work legally. It's easy to know whether you can or not: If you have a Bachelors degree, then yes, you can. Anything less then no. Things are already tough enough for legal teachers without people trying to cheat the system even more. You might want to try China instead. |
