This is sort of like claiming that IGTG is taken seriously. Paul is going to get flushed out of the race after the first primary, perhaps the 2nd if he overachieves. |

Ron Paul is being taken SO seriously by Republican party insiders, that they have taken steps to restrict access to two of their primaries already. They have closed the voting to many voters in New Hampshire and New York and are moving up registration deadlines to keep young voters, new voters, independents and party switchers from having a chance to register to vote in time to participate.
Republican party insiders tracking Ron Paul's surge believe that the only way to insure that one of the "good old boys" gets the nod is to freeze the party membership at its current shrunken level in hopes that the old timers won't join the Ron Paul revolution.
Of course, the irony is that this strategy could succeed in keeping the nomination in the hands of Giulinani or Thompson, but it guarantees the defeat of the Republican Party. |

Ron Paul can't be flushed out in the first two primaries. He has already raised enough money to run TV and radio and go all the way to the nominating convention, and his funraising is growing daily. His poll numbers, originally showing him at zero and dragging through the 2 and 3 percent levels are now up to 8 and 10 percent. Growth is the key here. His support is growing everywhere, and as the pundits noted, he is the ONLY Republican showing significant growth in support. |

He gets the lunatic populists (see the video)?
I am hoping that he runs as a third party candidate. Then he will take the anti war and lunatic vote.
Anyway how does Paul poll against democrats? He is down 20 -30%. |

And now the conspiracy theory raises it's ugly head. (It was only a matter of time... )

Republicans see him as a potential spoiler, not quite as powerful as Perot in 1992, but a spoiler nevertheless. He can harm the party. He cannot actually win concessions because he lacks sufficient support to influence the party's final platform. Besides that, he has alienated many and those of us who he has alienated are not interested in negotiating with him on anything.
Let him wither away after the first major primaries come to pass... |

Sure he can. he will be humiliated and nobody will take him seriously. After the first 2 primaries even those in his support base will not want to throw their votes away and will go to somebody else. The guy is a lunatic. he appeals to people who need antipsychotic drugs, who see conspiracies and the big bad government boogeyman behind their door. basically he is going to get the Men in Black vote: people who think the so-called establishment is trying to hide conspiracies from them. |

Why has he alientated you Gopher? How?
Harm the party? Are you joking? I've never much of a supporter of Republican candidates until now. If anything he will SAVE the party! Good shake up & genuine house-cleaning is essential every once in while.
Spoiler? More like AUTHENTICATOR.
Working to help restore people's faith in their elected representatives, citizens' revolution.
One thing that's clear is AmeriKa currently has a major Presidential candidate legitimating a REAL platform, bringing light to many issues & positions which almost every other phony wax-manequin crook acts as if aren't even worth discussing.
One clear way to understand the old guy's growing populist, cross-party support.
Honestly can't see the elephant Gopher?

Nepotism, snepotism It's a full-blown conspiracy to keep our boy Paul out of the White House. (You'll have to ask IGTG or regicide who is REALLY pulling the strings. They are far more in the know about the workings of the upper levels of government than us mere mortals.) |
