If you are applying for a position, the only requirement as far as passport conditions, are the front picture page of you passport. At no time does your employer actually need to hold your passport. So they will never need to see the expired visa in your passport. If they decided to do a little digging, they could find out that you have worked in Korea before. Also, if in your last position you paid into the national health plan, and your new employer pays into the plan, then they will find out that you worked here before.

But once you have the job, you should be ok. If in the interview, they ask if you worked in Korea, use your discretion, perhaps tell them you did, but didn't get on well with you previous employer. Many hagwon owners know that there are shady operations out there.

If you choose to tell the new employers that you worked in Korea, they may find out that you did, but you can deal with that afterwards. Hopefully once you arrive, and start teaching, you can demonstrate your value to the company, and then any other employment you had would be a moot point.
