These two places are awesome spots to purchase guitars at a really nice price.
The guy at the left side~ just along the high school wall is Lee, Oh-gon (aka. soju-papa). He's a very kind person and will do the best to get you going. He's done a lot to help people working DDD jobs to get affordable musical instruments. He is well loved and respected in the neighborhood. He has both classical & acoustic guitars, basses, keyboards, etc. Tell him that I sent ya!

The one on the right side is the "Brothers Lee". These two guys are usually quite nice (but can sometimes be a bit cantankerous Wink . The younger brother is often out front, while the elder one Lee, Sung-ku is in the back. The latter is friendlier and speaks better English. Always ask for a discount~ they'll usually give it to you.
Many guitars "fall off the truck" and end up here. Sometimes you can get really lucky. (BTW Dongmyo Station Line #1 & 6 is on the top left and Shindang Station Line #2 & 6 is on the bottom left.)

Of course, I'll try to give you a good deal on a guitar. I enjoy repairing, servicing and cleaning guitars and do my best to get you a good product. Here is a map:

I hope that this has been helpful for you.
All the best!

dude, head to nagwon arcade, near insadong traditional market street between jongno 3 ga and anguk stations... that place rocks! you might need a couple of trips to check the whole place out... insanely big, lots of overpriced merch but lots of hidden gems as well...

Well, most teachers that I encounter want something relatively inexpensive that they can play while in Korea. Very few want to spend that much on an instrument. Nagwon (most of the time) isn't the best place to buy a good quality instrument (neither is Shindang) IMHO.

i assumed he wanted a quality instrument... there's a lot of expensive stuff at nagwon, but some good deals as well... IMO a store with $3000 guitars probably knows a bit about instruments, and they can usually help get you set up with a low-end guit as well... i'd rather spend a little bit more and get something that's actually worth playing...

You'll get a ukulele in Nagwon, but they won't be able to help you with the 'why?'.

Thnx Harpeau. I bought an American Strat from Nakwon but I just wish there were more selection... the world doesn't need continual mass-market knock offs that sound disgusting. I don't think I can buy anything that doesn't break nor peel off anymore in the world. It's all cheap crap.

I quite liked your Sigma that you were selling though. Can't buy it however. Good to see your solid tops. If you got them from your place above then maybe it ain't arf bad.
