| I heard a few radiohead songs. Now, while Ive never been in a hostage situation nor have I ever been within 50 yards of a suicide bomber, the mere fact that I listened to radiohead makes me feel like I am on par with those that have been in those situations. What god awful crap can a human too stupid to know any better and too arrogant to care produce? Listen to Radiohead. Wheres the barfin emoticon anyway? |

| To those who have heard the new stuff: what's it like? Is it similar in style to the Bends and OK Computer or more like the experimental sound of recent albums. I used to like Radiohead until they started p1ssing around with synths and weird noises. |

I posted a review last night here:
http://psychedelickimchi.blogspot.com/2007/10/radiohead-in-rainbows-review.html
And while it comes across a little more negative than I honestly feel, In Rainbows is NOT one of the band's best albums, as appears to be the knee-jerk concensus from a lot of diehard fans.
It's growing a bit, but so far I'd classify only three songs ("Bodysnatchers," "All I Need," and "Videotape") as exceptionally great. |

* by Radiohead standards. Which by regular standards means barely average
Dont forget the asterisk. |

new radiohead album:
beautiful, rocks... less computerised than thom yorke's solo project (the eraser) and kind of bridges the gap between ok computer and kid a... kind of. some of the most creative and dynamic music you can hear. your ears deserve to listen.
saw them at their homecoming in oxford few years back and the experience was nigh-on spiritual. thom excelled himself that night...around 60,000 people in the park, absolutely peeing it down with rain, torrential, the sun setting, karma police... and the first time i heard pyramid song... truly amazing.
and as far as sticking it to the man by allowing us to choose how much we pay for it, good on them! read that their record company is encouraging people to wait for the cd release! pah! |

agreed.
Not their best, but a solid album. I'm digging a few tunes, especially Weird Fishes. |
