2007 10 09

By Malcolm Moore | telegraph.co.uk

The mysteries of the Order of the Knights Templar could soon be laid bare after the Vatican announced the release of a crucial document which has not been seen for almost 700 years.

A new book, Processus contra Templarios, will be published by the Vatican's Secret Archive on Oct 25, and promises to restore the reputation of the Templars, whose leaders were burned as heretics when the order was dissolved in 1314

I think most historians view the church's move as a land grab. No? They were bankers. A couple kings wanted their cash. They cooked up a bunch of stories about anal kisses and stuff. They grabbed the their cash and property.

Yeah. But they also provided a valuable service to god's holy warriors. What they did was before you went off to the holy land to kill muslims, you would leave all your gold with them. They would issue you a paper. Then when you got to the holy land you could withdraw gold from their chapter in the holy land.

I hope the Church has thought this through very carefully. The fans of Philip Augustus are not going to be happy to see their hero down-graded. You don't want to mess with those boys. They make the fans of Franklin Pierce look like pikers, and you know how those boys get.

What's worse, wait till the conspiracy nuts get this wrapped around their heads...the German pope turns over the Church to the secret survivors of the Knights Templar. Armeggedon for sure.
