Can anyone help me get the codecs right?
I uninstalled all my codecs and reinstalled Xvid and Dvix, but still having distorted picture problems.
The funny thing is I fixed this same problem 6 months ago by uninstalling all codecs and reinstalling Xvid, but the problem started again when I got new movies a couple days ago.
It's the same old problem I have seen before, but this time I can't seem to correct it with the most up to date codecs.
I wonder why there are so many issues with codecs, the software that tells the hardware how to process an Xvid video file. This seems so crazy. Surely if I am having problems, other users do to.
How do you get past this? I have spent so many hours working on it with no results. I just want to relax and watch my xvids. Thanks in advance. |

I used to be like you and download the latest codecs pack, however since switching to GOM player I never have to worry as it plays 99% of the videos that I want it to play, and the installation is even possible in English. Do a search for it and download it, it's a fantastic player. |

I had the same problems with codac. I now only download avi files and play them on a VLC Media Player, which I downloaded free from torrents.
This is the solution that works for me.
good luck. |
