In relation to the thread 'What songs make you cry" (that thread is really funny by the way Laughing ) I have a new question.

What songs make you dance?

I am talking about the songs that when you hear them, in a club or even at home, you have an urge to display your moves.

Mine are

Mylo - Drop the Pressure
DJ Shadow feat Roots Manuva - GDMFSOB (remix)

and (somewhat embarrassingly)

EMF - Unbelievable

Shy FX - Original Nuttah.

Most of the Shy FX podcast that I recently downloaded makes me want to dance actually. Its pretty hard trying to keep still on the subway while I'm listening to it! Reggae-Jungle is the bizznizz. Cool

LAID by James sort of makes me want to dance. It makes me want to beat on things around me.

U2's ANGEL OF HARLEM and WHEN LOVE CAME TO TOWN.

Liz Phair's EXTRAORDINARY.

Basically, the 80's.

Front 242 - Headhunter

Skinny Puppy - Testure NWS, NMS (I've never been able to watch the whole thing, just listen instead)

The Revolting Cocks - Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?

Hard to find in Korea tho.

As a product of the 90s and the warehouse scene basically anything with a syncopated drum beat over 110 bpm that's not trance or rock, preferably created by black artists.

Honourable mentions go to:
upbeat early Stevie Wonder, especially from the Innervisions or Songs in the Key of Life
"Paid in Full" by Eric B and Rakim (Coldcut remix)
"Strings of Life" by Rhythim is Rhythim
"Flylife" by Basement Jaxx
"Alarms" by Jeff Mills
anything off the Homework album by Daft Punk
"I Can't Stand the Rain" by Missy Elliot

... there are too many to mention here...

Really? I find that song to be so slow. I'd start foot taping to "One Minute Man" before I'd break out dancing to "I Can't Stand the Rain."

It has a cool kind of loping beat, and is a little bit moody so it like it. It was really just the first Missy song I thought of, really almost anything produced by Timbaland will get me on the floor.
