I was watching the news this morning and there was a story about a foreign teacher raping a kindergarten student. That made me really just plain sick. What was that guy thinking? First off it is totally disgusting to think about raping someone in the first place, but to do it to a kindergarten age student, come on get a life buddy. I would like to see the person who did it get what he deserves. I am a foreigner here as well, and to hear things like that I know that things will only get worse for those of us who are honestly here just to work. look, if your a sick pervert here to rape little girls/boys, or anything like that take a good long look at your self in the mirror and think if it was your sister/ brother/ mother or anyone in your own family for that matter. STOP!

Well, it was either mbc or sbs, I'm not sure but it should be on again at ten I think. If nothing else you could check out the mbc and sbs websites or just click on naver.

I know it involves red-tape and is expensive, but I have wondered why there was no kind of background check for prospective teachers. I surely wouldn't want John Wayne Gacy teaching my children, and that may be exactly who you are getting with this open door policy.

I am sure this happens in every country - lots of it happens in the USA...

but here in Korea - I have not heard about this yet... or seen any news reports of it...

please give us the teachers name or news link etc etc...

I am also sure if this REALLY happened... ALL Koreans would be talking about it - demonstrating AGAINST foreigners... and even our students would be talking about it...

please show us some links....

Here is a naver link, it basically says that the teacher was touching the student in an inappropriate way. The teacher denied it, but he was seen on CCTV. He is an American and is 24 years old.

The OP may be trolling...but this is a very valid question.

My answer..there should be but there is not real concerted effort beyond your basic criminal records check (not all schools require it sadly)....

Far from rape - but horrible if true.

If there's a CC camera, it should help in figuring things out. They're not the clearest things, but if anything major was going on, it'd catch it.

Either way, I hope the truth comes out.

Thats exactly what I thought...

this is quite common in the USA...

but the OP is still a TROLL......

why did the OP say - A foreign teacher RAPED a kindy student...

(thought she would get more views and comments - if she trolls and makes the story into something it isn't?)

rape = sexual intercourse ( carnal knowledge)....

a few pats on the head and chest IS NOT RAPE....
