I'm traveling to Hong Kong at the end of this month. Does anyone know what the weather might be like? I know it's rainy up through October. How easy is it to get from one island to the next? Any recommended attractions? Thanks for your input |

I've been to HK in December / January a few times, & it's still almost warm enough to go swimming.
Don't miss Victoria Peak, Aberdeen, Stanley /Repulse Bay, the stilt houses in Tai O (aka Hong Kong Venice) to have a taste of traditional fishing village, Po Lin Monastery and the Tien Tan Buddha Statue on Ngong Ping, & Macau. There are dozens of inter island ferries.

yeah, hong kong weather people have easy jobs...it's pretty much humid and warm all the damn time.
my parents are originally from HK and Macau...do check out macau, it's like a one or two hour ferry ride out of hong kong. i guess you could say it's the vegas of asia, it's grown unbelievably in the past few years. and try Macanese cuisine if you can find it, a unique blend of portuguese and chinese dishes. unforgettable. |

I've heard so many good things about Macau. Someone told me it would be best to spend the weekend there because during the week it's pretty slow. Any thoughts? Either way, I think the scenery and food alone would satisfy me whether there's a crowd around or not. |
