Anything recent (or not) you'd highly recommend? You may give details if you wish. |

In case you missed, it, this 2005 film almost transcends the genre, has real heart:
This reaches back to 2001 but I only saw it last year and you gotta like Kline:
Four generations of men in a family. Caine and Walken are great as usual but so are the younger guys in this one from '04:
If you've seen and liked any of these three then you'll like the others. |

Every Time We Say Goodbye. Where else can you hear Ladino in a move? On top of that, it has Tom Hanks in his (I think) first dramatic role.
The Door. It's a Japanese suspense-drama. All the dialog is in Japanese but it's not hard at all to determine what they're saying anyway. The movie builds the suspense mostly with the filming and settings. I thoroughly enjoyed it. For me, it's a "must have" in my film library. |

Adaptation and The Incredibles are the only two recent (well, last ten years or so) mainstream movies I can honestly recommend. Lots, of course, that I haven't seen. |

Difficult...
Most films by Quentin Tarantino, the Cohen brothers and Takeshi Kitano. Can't go far wrong there. |

Just watched Mr. Brooks with three other people tonight and ALL of us liked it. Got bad reviews on rotten tomatoes, but we were into it. <shrug> |

Just saw "Shoot 'Em Up" and was blown away. I love Clive Owen, and the action sequences in the flick were over the top and original. If you can manage a bit of suspension of disbelief, the movie rocks. |
