|
|
I got this freebie from flying home last week and my wife mentioned that we could cash in a free trip to Jeju do. I think January would be a terrible time to visit Jejudo. Wouldn't Malaysia or the Fiji Islands or the French Samoa be so much better?
Anyone know what Jeju is like in the winter? |

Though you won't be swimming, not battling Korean tourists make the scenery wonderful. |

I mean if it's free and the other choice is sitting at home watching re-runs of oprah, it might be ok.
But... GOD, go to SE Asia!!!
Jeju in the winter sucks. Its windy, cold, boring, and life-less. You can't even get near the beach due to the cold, humid wind. I can't think of anything you can do on Jeju in January you couldnt do in any other place in Korea. |

It'd a bit cool... but you could try for a Hallasan snow hike. Other than that ummm you could go to the lava tube cave- boring but I thought the Kentucky Cave was boring too. But, yeah I'd choose a warm tropical island for the beach swim times as Jeju would be a tad cold to swim at. |

There's no such place as 'French Samoa'...
And yes, Cheju is also nice in winter... except for the swimming...! |

yeah...it is cold.
You go for the scenery but in winter it just isn't enjoyable...it is pretty windy and that wind isn't the warmest... |

I was bored as hell living there last winter.
However, they still sell alcohol and operate casinos...so, party! |
