Thanks in advance once again.
I have been downloading movies for quite along time, and I have been using VLC media player. But the past few movies have had pictures, but no sound.
Windows media player, as you know, is not the best. They will not play these movies, and neither will VLC. Any ideas?
thanks much. |

Do a search for GOM player. It's Korean but even has an option to install in English. It is fantastic and plays 99.9% of stuff that I download. Good luck... |

I had this problem before and it was because i was missing a codex. Try downloading a program called g-spot. You can open your movie file in it and it will tell you what, if any, codexes you are missing...
not sure if its the fix you're looking for but worth a try! |

also try DivX player....
http://www.divx.com/
when you download it, it includes a codec pack with most of the common codecs...
it updates win media player with the codecs to so you can use it... |

On a Windows PC, WMP Classic is the best - assuming you have all of the up to date codec. |

You might try getting the AC3 sound codec which allows media players to play the sound tracks.
