Herman's Head

I'm not sure if that's a joke but I'll agree. That was an odd little series.

No, not really joking. Maybe sort of joking, but not really joking. I liked the show. Funny how it just popped in my head though. I haven't thought about that show in ages, except whenever I see an episode of Friends with Carol in it, the Lesbian ex-wife of Ross. And, of course, Herman's Head also starred Hank Azaria and Yeardley Smith of The Simpson's.

I didn't realize Hank Azaria was in it until I just looked it up now.

And on Wikipedia it says that the first condom commercial on U.S. television was aired during an episode of Herman's Head.

Sports Night.

Great poetically unnatural rhythm to the dialogue, like David Mamet, and the characters were just endearing enough. Sorkin dropped it to make that hugely successful melodramatic trash called The West Wing.

I've been watching "Veronica Mars" for the last few weeks. I'm hooked. It's been panned online, but the scripts and the characters are much much better than most of what passes for entertainment ("Lost," I'm looking at you.)

I miss Deadwood!!!

That show was axed in the middle of a pretty major plot arc... I need closure!

Yeah, I like those too. They're supossed to be making a Dead Like Me movie. But with a different boss, and another actress playing Daisy Adair (I think).

Jericho is the same. Despite the call for Nuts to keep it on the air, they only made enough for a half season and don't plan to make more.

Jericho is kind of lame. I liked it, but always had the feeling that something exactly like it gets released every decade or so and becomes quickly forgotten. I think it "died" on the fifth episode or so.

Scrubs died. 'Tis a funny show once, now, not so much (at least I thought it was funny).

Family Guy is dying. It was also a funny show, though *never* as good as The Simpsons. Now, its just satrizing all the things that once made it funny and not being very clever at doing so.

Battlestar Galactica is going to die, sadly. Its an awesome show, and gets even better into the new seasons. But with the end in sight, I wholeheartedly understand why they can't stretch it on too much longer.

Lost died after the first season (I stopped watching it then) and deserved it's death. It died just when the episodes started to feel as if they made them up as they were going along.

I loved that show.

A different boss? No Rube? I'm sorry, it just won't be the same. I could've done without Daisy Adair from the beginning though.

Best scene in the entire series is when Rube is in the airport in front of a crying baby. "I'm going to kill that f*cking baby" (Mother looks shocked and appalled)

"Oh sorry ma'am, I didn't mean that literally. I just have a headache."

Ten seconds later...

"I'm going to kill that f*cking baby."

Classic.

Yeah, HBO is like the hatchman of good TV. Why get us hooked, just to kill the show mid-story.

Some of the shows ended, and didn't need to be continued, like "John from Cincinatti."

But "Rome," "Deadwood," "Carnivale"...

I have gotten HBO for cheap after moving apartments twice now, only to get caught by a specific show. They, after like six months of paying, show gets killed and I cancel my HBO in protest.

Those guys at HBO should be unspeakable things with my mother.

Lucky Louie.

If only to see if they would make more shock-episodes like the full-frontal male nudity episode or the C-word episode. Some of the lines from the first episode were gut-busting when the wife wants a kid, but Louie wont *beep* her because he doesnt want a kid. About pissed myself.
